Marcus Bernard.

artistic director and producer.

Marcus is a playwright and producer born in London, raised in a working-class, multi-racial family. His father is half Jamaican, half English and his mother is Indian.

After a 16 year career in tech, Marcus left the world of startups behind to pursue a lifelong ambition to write. Since then he has had plays staged at Theatre503, the White Bear Theatre, Space Arts Centre and other venues around London. He is part of the Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab 2018/19 and is an Associate Artist for the Lion and Unicorn Theatre.

Marcus also serves as Story Producer for the London chapter of the “cultural phenomenon” Mortified which hosts live shows at the Leicester Square Theatre.

Daniel Rusteau.

Associate WRITER.

For the stage Daniel has had his work performed at Drayton Arms Theatre, The Paddington Arts Centre, The Bunker Theatre and The Pleasance Theatre. His short play DISMISSED, performed at The Upsetters short play showcase, received a five star review from Pocket Sized Theatre.

For TV he’s worked with Lime Pictures, Hat Trick Productions and BWNG TV. Daniel’s comedy drama MR FOR MY SISTER is in development with Dancing Ledge Productions and his dark comedy drama AFTER-WIFE is in development with CPL Productions.

For film Daniel has been commissioned by the BFI Network to write a treatment for his original feature idea IGNATIUS: THE EXTRAORDINARY and is currently developing a feature with Violet Films. His short film BLIGHTY: BFF made the official selection for the 2016 British Urban Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short at the Screen Nation Digital-iS Awards.

He’s currently a member of the BFI Network X BAFTA Crew 2019.

Script Readers.

We have a small team of script readers from diverse backgrounds who read every submission. Each reader is asked to give feedback on the scripts and helps us to pick a shortlist which eventually becomes the final five pieces which are staged..
